Arbitration On Edwards Jones Dome To Start Jan. 14

There’s an end in sight to the years-long fight over upgrades to the Edward Jones Dome.

The that a panel of arbitrators will begin hearing the case on Jan. 14. The three officials will decide what the St. Louis Convention and Visitor’s Commission needs to do to keep the Dome in the top 25 percent of football stadiums in the country, as required by the St. Louis Rams’ lease

The arbitration process is expected to take about two months. If the C-V-C does not agree to the terms presented by the arbitrators, the Rams are free to terminate their long-term lease after 2014.

The C-V-C has proposed , a plan the Rams rejected. They’ve made their , which the Post-Dispatch says could cost about $700 million.
