The fourth man charged in the of an armored vehicle in St. Louis has admitted his role in the crime.
Twenty-one-year-old Aaron Hassan Johnson of St. Louis pleaded guilty in federal court this morning to one felony count of armed robbery and one count of being in possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. He'll be sentenced on May 18. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison for the robbery, and an additional seven years for the firearms charge.
that Johnson has also been sentenced to 15 years in state prison for an October 2009 robbery of a sandwich shop.
Hassan and three other men - John Wesley Jones, Ryechine Money, and Larry R. Newman - forced their way into the vehicle belonging to ATM Solutions, 3721 Grandel Sq., on the morning of Aug. 2, 2010 and made off with $6.6 million in cash, the largest cash robbery in St. Louis history. Only half of the money was ever recovered.
All together, the case has led to charges against 17 people.
