There are now 11 candidates running in the April 8 election to fill three seats on the board.

The board appointed Borishade as superintendent during a closed session Tuesday night without opening up a formal hiring process.

According to the lawsuit, the St. Louis Public Schools Board of Education told Chester Asher he鈥檇 been warned about being 鈥渄isrespectful鈥� while speaking at public meetings before issuing a six-month ban.

A dozen candidates have filed to run for three seats on the St. Louis Public Schools Board of Education in April. Missing from the list are two current board members, Matt Davis and Natalie Vowell.
