For Women鈥檚 History Month, Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost, who leads the U.S. Transportation Command based at Scott Air Force Base, discussed her experience as a woman in the military at an event Monday.

鈥淟ogistics is very important to any operation, and I think our logistics prowess has shown itself over and over again,鈥� said Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost.

The Air Force is looking to modernize its force, and shedding some of its 鈥渓egacy platforms鈥� such as part of the C-40 fleet is part of that plan.

鈥淲e learned only a couple hours before the president made the announcement that the Department of Defense was going to be a part of this,鈥� said one member of TRANSCOM at Scott. The first shipment arrived this past weekend.
