This year marks the 46th edition of the Purina Pet Parade 鈥� a staple of St. Louis' Mardi Gras season. Here are the people and pets who made their way to south St. Louis.

Native New Orleanian Simone Faure has baked king cakes at her south St. Louis bakery since it opened 10 years ago.

The Purina Pet Parade currently holds the Guinness Book of World Record for most dogs in costume, which was set in 2012.

On the Saturday before Fat Tuesday 鈥� or Mardi Gras 鈥� thousands fill the streets of St. Louis鈥� Soulard neighborhood to celebrate with music, colorful beads鈥�

The Mardi Gras crowd was thinning out, and drunk revelers zigzagged in the middle of the street, kicking cans and shivering in the 35-degree weather. As鈥�

The 37th Annual Bud Light Grand Parade in Soulard is just around the corner. The Mardi Gras celebration will take off from Busch Stadium at 11 a.m.鈥�

Some St. Louis rabbits are working like dogs 鈥� as service and therapy animals. On Sunday, one will also don another hat 鈥� more of a crown, really 鈥� for鈥�

One of the area鈥檚 biggest public parties of the year takes place in the Soulard neighborhood this weekend. Organizers of the Mardi Gras celebration are鈥�
