Keyon Harrold mixes jazz, hip-hop and R&B on this third solo album. The Ferguson-born trumpeter鈥檚 new songs reflect his quest for inner peace.

The public scrutiny of Jazz St. Louis President and CEO Victor Goines started after he rejected a T-shirt design of Keyon Harrold holding a trumpet and a fist raised above his head from local artist Cbabi Bayoc.

Native son Keyon Harrold is the new host of 漏 2024 外网天堂 and Jazz St. Louis鈥� live weekly jazz show, The Next Set: Live From Jazz St. Louis.

The trumpeter and bandleader plays at Jazz St. Louis through Sunday.

Ferguson native Keyon Harrold started jamming at Jazz at the Bistro when he was just a teen. It led to lifelong friendships 鈥� and the connections that launched his career as a jazz trumpeter. He discussed his new role as the creative advisor at Jazz St. Louis, previously known as Jazz at the Bistro, and why jazz purists need to open their eyes to other music genres.
