St. Louis resident Linda Badran wants to help the healing and recovery of the thousands of children being harmed.

On a near daily basis, the U.S. Transportation Command loads planes, ships and vehicles with supplies bound for Ukraine.

St. Louisan Gene Litvin traveled to Poland this month to help Ukrainians fleeing the war. Litvin himself left Ukraine in the 1990s as a Jewish refugee.

Ukrainians need the St. Louis region to donate money now and eventually be ready to accept them into the region as refugees, said a deacon at a St. Louis Ukrainian church.
