CEO Susan Trautman helped the public agency secure multiple funding streams and dramatically grew the organization鈥檚 staff.

It gives three north St. Louis neighborhoods a better platform to approach the city or private funding sources for economic development projects.

The new park includes gated entrances and protected trails and parking. Starting Sunday, it will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 30 minutes after sunset.

The new section of the project received funding from a Biden administration initiative to reconnect communities that were divided by mid-century highway projects.

Great Rivers Greenway鈥檚 Dallas Adams talks about Greenway Quest, an all-ages scavenger hunt for painted bee rocks hidden along St. Louis region greenways, and how the event activates ongoing greenway efforts.

The vision for a greenway along St. Louis鈥� central corridor has been around for decades, but the idea of connecting it with communities in north St. Louis is more recent.

The Brickline Greenway aims to connect the Gateway Arch to Forest Park and Fairground Park to Tower Grove Park with pedestrian and bike paths.

A one-mile stretch of the Brickline Greenway along Market Street in downtown St. Louis will host an art installation commemorating the history of the former neighborhood.

On Monday鈥檚 "St. Louis on the Air," Sharon Smith of the Missouri Historical Society joined us to discuss the bridge鈥檚 history. We also heard from Great Rivers Greenway about big plans for the site.
