Last Friday, for St. Louis on the Air鈥檚 first 鈥淎fter Hours鈥� music event in the Public Media Commons, Conaway played songs from her latest double-album , which she describes as giving depth to the emotional range of self-reflection without words.
In addition to talking with host Sarah Fenske about her musical journey, influences and techniques, she played various traditional instruments, including violin and bass. But that鈥檚 not all. Although Conaway said she wasn鈥檛 always a fan of incorporating technology into her music, now she鈥檚 all in. She fuses stringed instruments with pedals, rack units, mixers and beats.
