Earlier this week, beloved Peabody Award-winning PBS journalist Gwen Ifill died at the age of 61 due to complications from cancer, with which she had struggled for several years. On this week’s “Behind the Headlines” on St. Louis on the Air, we looked at the impact of Ifill’s journalism and listen to a 2010 excerpt of her interview with Don Marsh about her book “.”

Joining the program were Amanda Honigfort, a producer with Higher Education Channel TV (HEC-TV) who worked as an intern with Ifill on “Washington Week” in 2013, and Anne-Marie Berger, a producer with Nine Network, who worked alongside Ifill when she visited Ferguson in September 2014.
