St. Louis County Councilman Ernie Trakas is uninjured after a shooting on Interstate 64.
that Trakas鈥� car was shot at while driving on a stretch of the highway in Frontenac.
In a tweet Friday afternoon, Trakas thanked everyone who reached out to make sure he wasn鈥檛 hurt.
鈥淭oday reminded me that violence impacts everyone in our region,鈥� the tweet read, in part.
He added that the Frontenac Police Department is investigating. Frontenac Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment early Friday evening.

Trakas, a Republican, represents south St. Louis County on the council. St. Louis County Executive Sam Page also about the shooting, saying he spoke with Trakas.
