The Missouri Foundation for Health has announced that it will donate $6 million to address health issues raised by the last year. The priorities include gun violence, food insecurity and toxic stress.
So far, the foundation’s leadership has approved grants to two causes:
· $1 million to the . The program conducts training and awareness programs about mental health and trauma in the St. Louis area.
· $450,000 to . The group, led by Norm White, a professor of criminology and criminal justice at St. Louis University, trains school personnel to recognize implicit racial bias and create a better learning environment for students.
