Green takes the post that was held by Lewis Reed, who resigned when facing federal corruption charges earlier this year. Despite officially , Green gathered with supporters at City Hall on Monday for a ceremonial swearing-in.
"It is time to get to work. It is time to set aside our differences," after taking the oath of office. "It is time to build, together, a city that works for everyone."
