Mo. Senate delays debate on business incentives

Debate was set to begin this morning, but some senators asked (R, Dexter) for more time to read the 268-page bill, which he granted.

“Each member needs to go through that bill with a very close eye and scrutinize it and make certain that they know where they stand on the different provisions in the bill and be able to come back and offer healthy debate," Mayer said.

And that debate is now scheduled for Tuesday.  The Missouri Senate will reconvene on Monday to take up the bill, along with any bills the Missouri House may pass tomorrow. 

Senators were also scheduled today to attend a presentation by theon the projected costs and benefits of the Aerotropolis proposal, but that presentation was also postponed until next week.
