The awards, which began in 2003, returned last year after a one-year hiatus and reorganization.
Like last year, the new winners fit into a half-dozen categories:
- , philanthropist and art historian, Major Contributor to the Arts
- Priscilla Block, executive director, Outstanding Arts Professional
- , vocalist, Outstanding Working Artist
- MADCO dance company executive and artistic director, Outstanding Teaching Artist
- , filmmaker, playwright, poet and performance artist, Emerging Artist
- , local arts activist, Community Impact Artist
Last year because two different women were named as community impact artists.
The 2016 awards ceremony will be held Monday, April 25, at the Sun Theater, 3625 Grandel Square.
