The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will shut down one lane of the eastbound I-64 Daniel Boone Missouri River Bridge this week.
The lane closure will be between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m from Monday through Thursday.
MoDOT Spokeswoman Linda Wilson-Horn says the closure isn鈥檛 expected to have a serious impact on traffic.
鈥淚n the middle of the day our traffic numbers are light enough that we don鈥檛 expect that to be a problem,鈥� Wilson-Horn says. 鈥淛ust use a little extra caution and be on the lookout for our crews that are going to be working along one of the lanes on the bridge.鈥�
Wilson-Horn says that crews will be gathering information needed to complete a new $110 million I-64 Daniel Boone Bridge upstream of the existing two bridges.
