A means another day off for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers.
Major League Baseball has postponed Game 6 of the World Series "due to inclement weather and forecast for rainfall throughout remainder of today." The league's said officials with the Rangers, Cardinals and Major League Baseball "agreed [that a] game of this magnitude should be played without interruption" and that the weather looked better on Thursday and Friday nights.
Game 6 is now scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27. Tickets from tonight's game will be honored. If necessary, a Game 7 would be the same time on Friday.
The Rangers lead the best-of-seven series 3 games to 2. Jaime Garcia was scheduled to start tonight against Colby Harris of the Rangers - no word on how the extra day off will affect the rotation of either team.
