According to the paper, Steelman raised the sum in about a month.

- Incumbent Democratic Senator : $905,000 (but she has had four years to raise this amount)
- Fellow Republican : approx. $40,000 (even though the most recent report lists a sum of $175,514, this is probably incorrect and attributed by the paper to a computer error).
